Common Sense Prevails.
Look — we're a small-batch coffee roastery run by real people who would genuinely rather send you a perfect bag of coffee than write pages of legal language. But the internet is the internet, and the world we sell into requires a few paragraphs of disclaimers. So here they are.
Be a good person, we'll be a good business, and with a little luck none of us will ever need to read this page again. If anything on here feels confusing, email hello@honeybearroasters.com and we'll answer in plain English.
1. General
By using this website or placing an order with Honey Bear Roasters ("we," "us," "our"), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site. We may update these terms at any time; the version on this page governs.
2. Orders & payment
All orders are subject to availability and acceptance. Prices and availability can change without notice. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order. Payment is processed securely by Shopify — we never handle your card number directly.
3. Shipping
We roast to order and ship within 2–3 business days of roasting. Delivery times depend on carrier, destination, and factors outside our control. Risk of loss passes to you once the package leaves our facility; if a package is damaged in transit, email us and we'll work with you to make it right.
4. Returns & happiness guarantee
Coffee is a consumable — we don't accept returned beans after they've left the shop. That said, if your order arrives damaged, wrong, or just plain not good, email hello@honeybearroasters.com within 14 days and we'll replace it, credit you, or refund you. No hoops, no drama.
5. Product info & allergens
We roast in a facility that may process common allergens. Bourbon-barrel-aged products contain trace residue from oak barrels previously used for bourbon whiskey; if that is a concern for religious, medical, or legal reasons, do not purchase those products. Products are sold for adult consumption.
6. Limitation of liability
The site and all products are provided "as-is" to the maximum extent allowed by law. We are not liable for consequential, incidental, or indirect damages. Our maximum liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid for the product giving rise to the claim, or $50 — whichever is greater. Any claim must be brought within one year of the purchase date.
7. Intellectual property
All content on this site — copy, imagery, logos, product names, recipes — is owned by Honey Bear Roasters or our licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute it without our written permission.
8. Privacy
We keep the bare minimum: your name, email, shipping address, and order history — so we can ship coffee and answer questions. We never sell or rent your info. We share data only when required to fulfill an order (carriers, payment processor) or legally compelled. Newsletter signups are opt-in and unsubscribeable with one click.
9. Dispute resolution
Any dispute will be resolved by binding arbitration (not a jury trial, not a class action) under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. Arbitration takes place in the county where Honey Bear Roasters is headquartered. If arbitration is unenforceable, the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts serving that county. Frivolous claims may result in fee-shifting.
10. Miscellaneous
These Terms are the entire agreement between you and Honey Bear Roasters regarding your use of the site. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms are governed by the laws of the state where Honey Bear Roasters is headquartered, without regard to conflict of law rules.
